The summer of 1965 saw my dad and me driving endlessly down the dusty roads between Boulder and Fort Collins. My dad Wally was on a mission, determined to find a spot where he could raise cattle and teach his kids about country living. Just outside of the town of Hygiene, 45 miles from Denver, we found that spot and named it Crane Hollow Farm.
Wally followed his dream and successfully raised his cattle for years (even a few Grand Champion Bulls!). Along the way he instilled in me a deep appreciation for the value of playing in the mud, so when it was my turn to teach my kids about country living I was quick to open the doors and let them play in the pond and explore the fields. I was proud (but not too surprised) when my eldest daughter asked if she could be married at The Farm.
We love this place for it’s unobstructed views of Longs Peak and the Rocky Mountains, for the pond, the fields, the cows and the horses. We also love it for the s’mores around the campfire, the fresh air and because there is nothing quite like getting out of the city with friends and family!
We have been honored to share our spot with countless people, and are excited that you are considering Crane Hollow Farm for your party! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions!
